What happens when Peter Thiel, Eugene Kaspersky, Urs Hölzle, Tony Hawk and Bono meet at a conference? The international startup and tech scene meets in Dublin for the Web Summit. New York Times calls it “The grand conclave of the tech industry’s high priest, who came from all over the world”. With more than 20.000 visitors from more than 100 countries Dublin becomes the center of the tech world from November 4th to 6th.
We were surprised when we received the invitation to showcase tocario within the Web Summit’s BETA Track which showcases companies considered to have the potential to be the most disruptive startups in the world. Those chosen for the BETA track represent less than 5% of the thousands of applicants for Web Summit 2014 which is known as “the best technology conference on the planet”.
Designed as the mature stage track at the Summit, BETA features the companies that have raised money, have a solid founding team and have displayed true innovation and business acumen. Running across the three days of the Web Summit, BETA is designed to give startups diverse access to media, investors, potential customers and advisors that can take their business to the next level – we are immensely excited!
