Last week the “Technische Akademie Esslingen” invited IT professionals and decision makers to a business breakfast in Esslingen to talk about current risks and protection possibilities for SMBs in the field of data espionage and security technologies. We were pleased to support this event with two contributions in the discussion panel: Prof. Stefan Ruf was talking about weak points companies are faced with today. Especially pointing out business segments with sensitive data and the referring risk potentials. Based on this Carsten gave an insight in technologies which are adequate to guarantee data security and data protection at the workplace. In this context the talk discussed the use of cloud hosted virtual desktops in the enterprise environment as well as the limits of cloud computing. See the following link to the “Esslinger Zeitung”, which wrote an article about this event: “Datensicherheit made im Ländle” (in German).
